The
U. S. Capitol Historical Society’s newest traveling
exhibit, “
From Freedom’s Shadow:
African Americans and the United States Capitol,” premiered
to the public on February 6, 2006 at the Reginald
F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History
and Culture in Baltimore, Maryland. Since then,
the exhibit has traveled to six states and the District
of Columbia. Some of its travels have been
chronicled in photographs to create this unique scrapbook. While
you review these fond memories, remember, the exhibit
is absolutely free to reserve and ship. If
you are interested in making a reservation, please
send an email to
fbell@uschs.org or
call (800) 887-9318, x. 28. “
From
Freedom’s
Shadow” will continue to travel across the
United States through February 2008.
